Problem Note 38727: Files might remain in /tmp directory after accessing Java Platform Services

DetailsAboutRate It

Some customers have experienced an out-of-space condition in their /tmp directories as a result of files that are created when accessing Java Platform Services. These files are often created when using SAS® Information Maps in SAS® Enterprise Guide®.

The files are named as shown in the following examples, where nnnnn is a five-digit number:

SAS-QandR-nnnnn.config
SAS-QandRnnnnn.xml
svc_import_filennnnn.xml

Although the files are marked to be deleted when the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) exits, they might not be deleted. You can manually delete these files.

To circumvent this problem, you can schedule a job that periodically removes these files.
